Patty Grazini is a Seattle based, self taught artist who focuses on paper sculpture. Her intricate paper sculptures are inspired by the beauty of recapturing moments from history. The sculptural pieces are constructed from papers gathered during her travels, from bookshops, and abandoned corners—passed through different hands and contexts. Her pieces feature tiny embellishments which bring incredible detail to the works. 

Crowns have been discovered as early as in prehistoric times and serve as a reminder of power, triumph and glory. This series is an encapsulation of the beauty of the human condition and the power that each of us has inside. It is said that dreams about crowns symbolize a recognition of the ability to forge ahead in life. We hope that this series brings truth to that dream for all of us.
